Come Work With Us

In the past, Boone County, West Virginia (where we are located) had numerous coal mining operations, and work was plentiful. The dramatic downturn in the coal industry over the past decade has resulted in many of the mines closing, and most of these jobs disappearing.

As the old saying goes, “when a door closes, a window opens.” Right now, we have the amazing opportunity to put this land back into profitable production. Only instead of coal, the products are lavender and honey.

Most duties fall into two main categories:

Field Preparation and Maintenance: clearing rocks and brush, building rock wall barriers, keeping water tanks filled

Plant Care: planting, propagating, pruning, harvesting, watering, weeding

We hire for the season, which runs from early spring through mid-fall. We have limited opportunities for year-round employment. We currently pay $11.50 per hour.

We are looking for people who want to learn new skills, who want to work outdoors in a team setting, and who are reliable and responsible. If you were previously incarcerated and/or are dealing with other life issues such as substance use disorder, we can offer you employment—IF you can show that you are enrolled in – or are about to be enrolled in — an accredited recovery program, peer support network, etc.

If you think this is a good job for you and if you are at least 18 years old, please complete and submit the application form below to request an interview. If you need more information, you can call us at 304.956.4015.
